Questions about the Gravity Funnel.
Short, plain answers to what the framework is, why the funnel is dead, and how gravity replaces force. The longer version lives across the rest of the site.
What is the Gravity Funnel?
The Gravity Funnel is a marketing framework: the traditional funnel reframed around gravity. Instead of pushing customers down through fixed stages, a brand builds mass through visibility, trust, authority, and repeated exposure, so customers are pulled toward it. Push becomes pull.
Is the funnel dead?
The shape of the linear funnel is. The question it asked, why some brands attract customers more easily than others, is still the right one. The Gravity Funnel keeps that question and changes the engine: attraction instead of force.
How is the Gravity Funnel different from a traditional marketing funnel?
A traditional funnel pushes customers down through fixed stages toward a single exit, assuming control the marketer never really had. The Gravity Funnel does the opposite: it builds enough trust and visibility that the brand develops mass, and attention falls inward on its own. The funnel pushes; gravity pulls.
What does gravity mean in the Gravity Funnel?
Gravity is the pull a brand creates as it accumulates mass. Visibility, repeated exposure, authority, and reputation build that mass. When enough forms, customers move toward the brand without being pushed: they move toward brands they trust.
Why did the traditional funnel stop describing real customers?
The funnel assumes linear movement, fixed stages, and a single direction. Real customers stay in motion: trust compounds over time, timing changes the answer, AI changes how brands are discovered, repeated exposure builds familiarity, and people leave and re-enter the system repeatedly. The funnel shape cannot represent any of that.
Does the Gravity Funnel replace the funnel completely?
It keeps the funnel's useful vocabulary and replaces its mechanics. The familiar idea of customers moving toward a decision stays. What changes is the engine of that movement: push becomes pull.
What is customer motion?
Customer motion is the observation that customers never stop moving. They orbit a brand, pausing, leaving, and returning as trust and relevance compound. They are not held at a stage waiting to be advanced; the distance to a decision changes as the brand earns it.
Is the Gravity Funnel a tactic or a tool?
Neither. It is a way of seeing. Once you treat attraction, rather than force, as the engine of movement, the whole funnel changes shape. It is a framework for thinking about how customers actually move toward a brand.
